New Zealand natives are increasingly popular for thier hardiness and relatively low maintinence ( a good trim back annually sorts out many varieties). They are used in many various and intuitive ways now more than every, with enphasis on less is best and mass planting with just one or a few varieties which gives strength to the design and is much easier to control as the plants all grow at the same level, hence one dosent overcrowd the other variety loosing it altogether.
